Social Justice Youth Development Workshops
Social Justice Youth Development (SJYD) workshops are intended to expose youth development organizations and youth serving programs to the SJYD approach. Healing-centered anti-racism, critical consciousness, and youth-adult partnerships are foundational elements of SJYD and serve as central concepts for learning within each workshop.

Racial Healing and Processing Groups
Racial Healing and Processing Groups are small, weekly racial affinity groups with the following objectives:
-
Foster community to engage in collective healing strategies.
-
Discuss and interrogate participant relationship to whiteness/anti-blackness and associated privilege and oppression.
-
Analyze participant socialization processes and personal experiences of being harmed and/or causing harm.
-
Find ways to move toward social justice action.
-
Apply what is learned to professional roles and across participants’ organizations (engagement with colleagues, programming, organizational practices, policies, and procedures etc.)
RPG participants are separated into racial affinity groups that provide opportunities to build awareness, knowledge, and action for racial justice and equity. The RPGS value relationships, reflection, learning, healing, and action.
The RPGS are typically weekly, 2-hour online experiences that span 15 weeks. All RPGS are co-facilitated by trained facilitators whose racial identity matches that of the participants.
Equity Coaching
Equity coaching supports individuals and organizations in implementing the social justice youth development model within youth programs and youth serving organizations. Trained coaches first develop relationships with youth development organizations and youth serving programs.

Provide technical support in a variety of topics including equity and inclusion

Engage/dialogue with individuals/organizations using the social justice youth development framework, integrating critical building and reflection
